Northwestern's younger players carried it to a halftime lead in Saturday's Colonial League girls basketball final.
The one senior starter in the Tigers' lineup led them to a championship after a Southern Lehigh charge.
Trista Cunningham scored 10 of her 12 points over the final 5 1/2 minutes as top-seeded Northwestern knocked off No. 2 Southern Lehigh 48-38 in the Colonial League final at Freedom High School. The win gave the Tigers (23-1 overall) their first league title since 2007 and ended Southern Lehigh's three-year run as champion.
