Freshman from Northampton is off to a great start with Penn State softball team

So far, so very good for Marly Laubach, the former Northampton High star now a freshman at Penn State University.
Laubach, the 2013 Morning Call Pitcher of the Year, is 4-0 with a 2.33 ERA and three complete games for the Nittany Lions (5-4). No other Penn State pitcher has won more than one game or has an ERA under 10.0.
In 24 innings, Laubach has 13 strikeouts, allowed eight walks and 26 hits.
On Monday, Laubach went the distance in a 6-5 win over No. 21-ranked LSU.
