Final Groller-Zambelli Challenge contest is underway; and congrats to last week's winner

FROM KEITH GROLLER

The bad weather has even impacted the Groller-Zambelli Challenge this winter. We've had to take three games off the contest schedule this season because they were postponed and moved until much later in the season.
One of them from the last contest, Liberty at PM West, still hasn't been played.
But we had to move forward and end that contest so that we could get on with the next one.
Last week's winner was John Hrebik, the former Palmerton boys basketball coach, but still Palmerton teacher as well as softball umpire, playground supervisor and Glen Klein's right-hand man with the Stellar Summer League and Stellar Construction "Catch A Rising Star" Showcase every July.
Congrats to John, who was a perfect 8-for-8.
John joins our other three basketball challenge winners this winter: John Vangeli (the announcer at Salisbury boys basketball games); Jason Bogden (a member of the SportsFest basketball staff); and Marc Corsi of Bethlehem.
The final contest is available now for your selections.
Go to www.mcall.com/itson to participate. You've got to make your selections by 5 p.m tomorrow for them to count.
This week's games:
Whitehall at Parkland boys
Allen at Dieruff boys
Freedom at Liberty boys
CCHS at Emmaus boys
Easton at Bethlehem Catholic boys
Salisbury at Southern Lehigh boys
ES South at ES North boys
Allen at Dieruff girls (tiebreaker)
Nazareth at Northampton girls
Palisades at Saucon Valley girls
