FROM KEITH GROLLER
Finally, the farewell BCS championship matchup is set.
I don't know if most of the country, outside of northern Florida and Alabama will care, but it's Florida State vs. Auburn for the national title.
And I admit that even the Granddaddy of them all, the Rose Bowl, seems a bit drabby with Stanford playing Michigan State. I personally would have rather seen Ohio State play Oregon in the Orange Bowl, or somehow, an Ohio State-Alabama matchup. Wouldn't that have been fun? Instead we have a bunch of ho-hummers in my opinion.
Here are some odds on some of the bigger games courtesy of RJ Bell of Pregame.com:
Early Bowl Lines
BCS Title: Florida State -8.5 vs. Auburn
Rose Bowl: Stanford -1.5 vs. Michigan State
Fiesta Bowl: Baylor -17 over Central Florida
Sugar Bowl: Alabama -14.5 over Oklahoma
Orange Bowl: Ohio State -4.5 over Clemson
BCS Title Odds BEFORE the season started (at LVH)
Florida State 40 to 1
Auburn: 1000 to 1
Alabama STILL Best Team (in the eyes of Vegas)
Alabama would be favored over ANY other college football team
(the closest matchup would be Alabama favored by 3-points over Florida State)
