One way or another, Parish Simmons was destined to wind up in the Patriot League.
The former Nazareth Area High School football standout, who was recruited by numerous Patriot League schools, recently made a verbal commitment to continue his career at defending league champion Lafayette College.
"It's official," said Simmons, who was also pursued by league members Holy Cross, Colgate and Fordham. "I think it will benefit me staying close to home. I'll be working out there this summer and I'll try to get an advantage."
