Look back at Wednesday's boys basketball games and updated standings

FROM KEITH GROLLER

Finally, we got a round of games in on Wednesday night. Looks like there's clear sailing the rest of the week, so we'll finally get to know a lot more about these teams before Christmas arrives.
Here's a look back at Wednesday's games:
LVC
Central Catholic 64, Allen 51 -- I am not surprised CCHS won. I expected the Vikings to win, but I was surprised by how well the Canaries played in the first half and for nearly three quarters. Those kids should dwell on that and not the collapse against a relentless CCHS team down the stretch.
Whitehall 66, Nazareth 45 -- Looks like a lot of R&R with Radocha and Rex going for 17 apiece. We'll learn much more about the Zephs against Parkland on Friday.
Emmaus 55, ES South 37 -- David Kachelries, one of the freshman twins who have a lot of people excited about the Green Hornets future, scored 15 in a balanced attack.
Freedom 57, Becahi 55 -- Perhaps a statement win for the Patriots, who continue to get leadership and everything else from Nigel Long and David Williams.
Liberty 62, Stroudsburg 59 -- Just as they did against Becahi, the Hurricanes nearly let this one slip away late. Oyeniyi and Williams combined for 44.
MVC
ES North 73, Lehighton 40 -- People keep talking up the T-wolves and they backed it up here by placing four guys in double figures.
COLONIAL
Northern Lehigh 58, Pen Argyl 49 -- This one went overtime, which either shows how much the Bulldogs have slipped or the Green Knights have improved. I think it's more the latter.
Bangor 72, Catasauqua 48 -- Slaters had eight treys and can serve up defeat in all kinds of ways.
Northwestern 51, Palmerton 45 -- Missing 13 free throws didn't help the Blue Bombers.
