Sabre Proctor capped an 8-0 Stony Brook run with a 3-pointer and a free throw midway through the second half as Stony Brook pulled away from Lafayette for a 71-61 win.
Proctor finished with 21 points and Kori Bayne-Walker added 13 for Stony Brook. That 8-0 run came after Lafayette had pulled to within 50-47 on Danielle Fiacco’s jumper.
Fiacco had 19 points and four blocks for the Leopards, Emily Homan had 14 points and Linnel Macklin had 10. Lafayette was outrebounded 46-37 in the game, 14-6 on the offensive glass.
