The big news coming out of Monday's batch of Colonial League softball games was that there will not be an unbeaten team in the league this year.
Palmerton made sure of that with its 10-8 win over defending champ and 2013 favorite Pen Argyl.
Janel Tracy, a sophomore, went 3-for-4, including a home run and knocked in two runs, and Abby Reimer, another sophomore, went 3-for-4.
The Blue Bombers built a 10-3 lead and withstood a five-run Palmerton rally in the top of the seventh.
In other Colonial games on Monday, Southern Lehigh routed Saucon Valley 10-0, Northwestern edged Bangor 8-7, Notre Dame pounded Palisades 11-3 and Wilson beat Salisbury 11-9 in a game in which the Falcons made 10 errors.
