FROM THE MORNING CALL
When he lifted a fly ball to left field in his first at-bat, Elliot Mortimer gave himself an early lead.
He spent the rest of Saturday afternoon holding down Parkland's lineup.
By firing seven shutout innings, Mortimer turned his first-inning sacrifice fly into a game-winning RBI. He allowed five hits and struck out six as Whitehall downed Parkland 1-0 in the marquee matchup of a Lehigh Valley Conference baseball quadruple-header at Coca-Cola Park.
