Good night for the Lehigh Valley Conference as Freedom, Central Catholic and Bethlehem Catholic all posted victories and built some momentum entering the opening night of league play on Friday.
And some of the league's biggest stars had big nights.
The bottom line is that Freedom and Central Catholic are now 2-0 and Bethlehem Catholic is 2-1 and the competitive league that we thought we were going to get is starting to take shape.
Wednesday's results:
Bethlehem Catholic 74, Pottstown 62 --- Matt Husek 22 points, 4 blocks.
Central Catholic 68, Hatboro-Horsham 58 -- Muhammad Ali Abdur-Rahkman 34 points, 26 in the second half; Mike Kammerer 19.
Freedom 61, Holy Redeemer 47 -- David Williams 18 points, 11 rebounds; Derike Chiclana 21 points.
Wallenpaupack 58, East Stroudsburg North 49 -- Quiles, Thompson 10 apiece for Timberwolves.
