Parkland's Kelly Robertson is Gatorade's Pennsylvania Volleyball Player of the Year

http://blogs.mcall.com/groller/ FROM KEITH GROLLER Was away from the e-mail and cell phone for a few hours on Wednesday night and learned late that Parkland's senior star Kelly Robertson has been named the Gatorade Pennsylvania Girls Volleyball Player of the Year, adding yet one more accolade to a storied career for the Penn State-bound Robertson. Robertson, a six-foot middle hitter who was earlier named a first-team All-America selection by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, had more than 1,400 kills in her career. She helped to lead the Trojans to the PIAA 3A title in 2011 and to the state final this season. She had 548 kills, 144 digs, 93 blocks and 43 aces this season. Kelly Robertson Robertson is also a two-time Lehigh Valley Conference MVP and was recently named The Morning Call's co-player of the year along with her cousin and teammate Taylor Krause. Krause was a second-team All-America choice and is also headed to Penn State. Both Robertson and Krause have been on TV with me three times and both are outstanding young ladies in addition to being extraordinary volleyball players.
