http://sportsmediajournal.com/ CBS Sees Highest NFL Ratings of the Season- CBS Sports reports that yesterday’s late game on the network (primarily Steelers/Cowboys) registered an overnight rating of 17.2, making it the second highest rated game since the network reacquired the rights to the NFL in 1998. The high was last year’s regular season game between the Patriots and Broncos. Yesterday’s regional coverage averaged a 10.8 rating for the network, up 50% over 2011. Arnold Palmer Tabbed as Columnist for GolfChannel.com- The Golf Channel announced today that the legendary Arnold Palmer will be a regular columnist for GolfChannel.com. “Arnold Palmer’s State of the Game” will appear on the website several times a year. NCAA Golf Championships to Air on Golf Channel- The NCAA and the Golf Channel announced that the network will be the home for the Division I men’s and women’s golf championships beginning in 2014. The multi-year agreement calls for the Golf Channel to begin airing the men’s championship in 2014 and both the men’s and women’s tourney in 2015. Pardon the Interruption Timeline to Look at Notre Dame Football- The next edition of PTITimeline will take a look back at the last ten years of Notre Dame football. The program will debut on ESPN tomorrow night at 7:30p.m.ET. The project, hosted by Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon, will also be seen on Grantland.com. Three College Hoops Studio Shows on CBS Sports Network- The CBS Sports Network will welcome back the return of two college basketball studio shows and debut another this week. Courtside with Seth Davis returns tomorrow at 7:00p.m. ET while Inside College Basketball returns tomorrow at 10:00p.m. ET. The network’s new program is called Wally’s World, featuring Wally Szczerbiak. That program debuts Wednesday at 6:30p.m. ET. NBA Twinbill on ESPN Wednesday Night- ESPN will present a NBA double header Wednesday night. At 7:00p.m. The Nets take on the Knicks at Madison Square Garden with Mike Breen, Jeff Van Gundy and Chris Broussard on the call. At 9:30p.m. ET Mark Jones and Jon Barry will call the Milwaukee Bucks at Memphis Grizzlies. Two Women’s College Hoops Games this Week on ESPN- The networks of ESPN will televise a pair of women’s college basketball games this week. Tomorrow at 8:00p.m. ET on ESPN Pam Ward and Kara Lawson will call Tennessee at Baylor. Friday at Noon ET Washington at Georgia Tech will be televcast on ESPN3.
