Saturday boys basketball scoreboard: CCHS continues to impress

http://blogs.mcall.com/groller/ FROM KEITH GROLLER A handful of games were played on Saturday and in survyeing the scores what jumps out is how dominant CCHS continues to be. The Vikings are now 4-0 and have won those games by an average of 25 points. Muhammad Ali Abdur-Rahkman is averaging 25 points per game.I am looking forward to seeing CCHS in person on Tuesday night at Allen. Here is a rundown of Saturday's scores with highlights: Northwestern 51, Hamburg 44 -- Jared Binder's 14 points allowed the Tigers to get their second win of the season. Northwestern had just three wins all last season. Quakertown 49, Saucon Valley 44 -- Brett Wolf 14, Mark Repsher 13 as Q-town keeps Saucon winless. Lehighton 68, Jim Thorpe 40 -- Tyler Crum's 17 points help to give Indians win second game in as many days and get third win of season -- matching last year's win total. Central Catholic 80, Danville 56 -- Abdur-Rahkman scored 28, Jean Lee Baez chipped in 14 as Vikings rolled up 73 points over the first three quarters. Moravian Academy 48, Notre Dame-ES 42 -- Luke Gutekunst scores 19 as Lions get second win of the season and John Donmoyer collects career win No. 603. East Stroudsburg South 60, Dieruff 46 -- Cavs get a combined 25 from O'Neil Holder and Khalil Wickham and win for the second straight day. Cavs now 2-2, Huskies 1-3. Freedom 63, ES North 50 -- Nyreef Jackson scored 22 and Derike Chiclana had 13 points and 12 rebounds as Patriots rebound from tough OT loss to Easton. Patriots are 3-1, Timberwolves 0-5. Nazareth 46, Pleasant Valley 37 -- Blue Eagles allowed just 20 points through the first three quarters to get second win of the season. Bears now 3-2. Salisbury 62, Northampton 47 -- Balance is the key for the Falcons, who placed four guys in double figures on Friday night and three on Saturday. Salisbury is now 3-1 and the K-Kids are 0-4.
