Parkland High graduate is a finalist to become Philly's "Coolest Fan"

http://blogs.mcall.com/groller/ FROM KEITH GROLLER Jackie Oertner, a former Parkland High basketball and softball player, loves the Phillies, loves the Eagles and loves all things Philadelphia. It's one of the reasons she's a freshman at Temple University. Oertner entered a contest sponsored by Dunkin' Donuts designed to find the most devoted or "coolest" Philly fan in the region. Oertner happily entered the contest to show off her passion for her favorite teams. She was selected as one of 10 finalists by a panel that included Al Morganti (WIP), Mike Missanelli (97.5 the Fanatic) and Eagles tight end Brent Celek. She put together a music video that incorporates some pictures of her at Phillies games, including one in Pittsburgh, and other Philly events. One of the pictures shows her as a kid going to a game with her sister. See two of the photos from the video below.Jackie Oertner2 The contest continues until Oct. 19 and Oertner would love your support. Currently, Oertner is third in the contest which has a grand prize of six tickets to any Philadelphia sports team's away game, round-trip air transportation on a private jeft and three standard hotel rooms for one night. As much as she loves the Phillies, Oertner said that if she won the prize, she'd probably use it to go to an Eagles game because she's never seen her beloved Birds play in person.Jackie Oertner "It would mean so much to me to win this contest," Oertner said. "I have so much love for Philadelphia sports, not just one team. Having the title of 'Philly's Coolest Fan' would mean more to me than any of the prizes." Even though I don't root for the Philly teams as she does, I am rooting for Jackie to win this contest. In talking to her, you can just sense how excited she is and how much this would mean to her.
