Emmaus field hockey tops Whitehall 2-0 to advance to LVC championship

Birney Crum to advance to Thursday's league championship game against Liberty, the only team to beat the Green Hornets this season. Emmaus (18-1) broke up the scoreless deadlock midway through the second half when fresh substitute Kira Godusky followed a saved shot from teammate Krissy Mikelson and hammered home the rebound. Godusky had been put into the game to give the Green Hornets a lift, and the junior scored just her second goal this season, the other coming in a blowout victory over Dieruff. The junior had missed all of last year with a left-knee ACL tear sustained during the soccer season.
