Tempt your tastebuds at 'Battle of the Burgers'

The store, located at 3850 Newburg Road in Lower Nazareth Township, will host the competition and pit eight local restaurants and chains in the battle for the title. Proceeds from the event will benefit Allentown Rescue Mission. On Aug. 18, guests can buy a ticket to sample eight grilled sliders and vote for their favorite, according to a news release. Tasting runs from 1 to 4 p.m., with the winner being announced at 4:30 p.m. The following stores will compete: Red Robin, Copperhead Grille, Starter's Pub, Burger Shack, Blue Monkey, Roosevelt's 21st, Big Woody's Sports Bar and Restaurant and Jake's Wayback Burgers. Tickets cost $7 for adults, $3 for kids between the ages of 6 and 12, kids under 6 are free. Additionally, the event will feature a DJ, photo booth and an ICEE truck.
