NBC’s Coverage of Day 12 at the 2012 Olympics

Monday night’s prime time coverage was viewed by 26.6 million viewers, only 1% above the same second Monday at the 2008 Beijing Games. The rating of 15.8 was the same as four years ago. The NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) saw its most watched total day ever Monday, thanks to live Olympics coverage of Team USA Basketball and the exciting finish to the USA Women’s Soccer semi-final match with Canada. The network averaged 965,000 viewers for the day, with an average of 1.21 million viewers during the NBCSN’s Olympics coverage only. The basketball match-up averaged an audience of 3.33 million viewers while the soccer match averaged 2.92 million.
