Andy Reid expressed dismay at The NFL Network on Friday for its portrayal of DeSean Jackson as not talking with teammates and being disconnected during the Eagles loss to Seattle on Thursday night.
But he should not have been upset at everybody.
However, during the postgame show Deion Sanders, Michael Irvin and Marshall Faulk all warned that perceptions are not necessarily reality and offered a defense of Jackson.
Sanders said Jackson did a "good job" in not being baited into negative comments in the locker room when surrounded by reporters.
Sanders also wanted to move along from the topic during the postgame conversation. He also complimented field reporter Alex Flanagan for "reporting what she saw," but again allowed that what she saw may not have been totally accurate.
Steve Mariucci offered the best perspective saying that he doesn't care what a guy does on the sideline or during pregame drills, but he has to perform during the game.
It all added up a soap opera-like ending to another dismal Eagles effort.
Over on Comcast SportsNet, former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell was again encouraging fans to tune into another Godzilla movie on another station.
Rendell, by the way, remains supportive of Jackson to the extent that a contract should have been done during the offseason and this whole mess of a season might have been avoided.
Tra Thomas took more issue with Vince Young saying that the offense didn't do a bad job.
