GOLF AND GOURMET: The 5th Annual RMG Insurance Ladies Golf & Gourmet to benefit the State Theatre Freddy Awards will be Thursday at The Club at Morgan Hill. WFMZ's Eve Tannery is the honorary chairwoman. There will be nine holes of golf — registration is at 1 p.m., with shotgun start at 2 p.m. Golf will be followed by a gourmet meal and a culinary presentation by chef Mike Pichetto. CHILDREN'S BALL: Community Services for Children, provider of Head Start, Early Head Start, Keystone STARS and subsidized child care, will hold its inaugural Children's Ball 6-11 p.m. Friday at Saucon Valley Country Club. The theme of the black-tie event is "An Enchanted Evening." It will feature the Flamin' Caucasians dance band, dinner and a silent auction and a few surprises. Previously, CSC combined the Donley Awards presentation with a children's gala. This year, the two events stand separately. Tickets are $175 and sponsorships are available. GARDEN PARTY AND HOUSE TOUR: The 2nd annual Garden Party and House Tour to benefit Allentown Public Theatre will be 3-7 p.m. Sept. 18 at the home of Jason Custer, Tim Lewis and Matthew Stitzer at 1536 W. A NIGHT OF HEROES: The 7th annual Night of Heroes presented by St. Luke's Hospital & Health Network will be Sept. 24 in the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks, Bethlehem. The event celebrates the St. Luke's Trauma Center and spotlights two patient cases in which trauma team members touched their lives. ARTFUL GALA: The Baum School of Art Gala, celebrating 85 years, will be held on Sept. 24. WALK/RUN FOR ROTARY: The Rotary Club of Allentown is sponsoring its second annual 5K Walk/Run on Oct. 2 at the Trexler Nature Preserve in Schnecksville.
