AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY LEHIGH VALLEY UNIT, Bethlehem is looking for volunteers to participate in Bark for Life event 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 15 in Macungie. Volunteers are needed to set up and take down, help with registration, help at walk stations, and clean up after race. Volunteers are also needed to help plan this event. EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA DOWN SYNDROME CENTER, Trexlertown needs volunteers to help with the Lehigh Valley Buddy Walk on Sept. 24 at the Bob Rodale Cycling and Fitness Park and Valley Preferred Cycling Center. Volunteers will assist with set up, parking, registration, T-shirt distribution, walking course, food service and general activities throughout the afternoon. KIDS PEACE, Orefield is looking for volunteers to help with their 14th Annual KidsPeace Soccer Invitational to assist in the merchandise and concession stands, field marshaling, traffic control, and registration. MARATHON FOR VIA needs volunteers for its race day Sept. 11 to cheer on runners, staff water stations, and to help with registration. Groups and students welcome. All volunteers receive a shirt. MUSEUM OF INDIAN CULTURE, Allentown, needs volunteers to help at its Roasting Ears of Corn Festival, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 20 and 22, and may help with face-painting and taking orders and serving food and dishwashing. Volunteers are also needed 6-8 p.m. Aug. 21 to take down canopies, temporary fencing, and put away tables. Festival volunteers receive free admission and free lunch.
