FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES
A key member of Penn State's NCAA champion wrestling team is facing sex assault charges after allegedly trying to rape an unconscious victim.
State College police charged 22-year-old Andrew Long on Friday in an assault that allegedly happened early that morning.
Court documents say Long was released on unsecured bail the same day. It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney.
Long finished third at 133 pounds in this year's NCAA championships, helping the Nittany Lions win their first team title since 1953.
Long transferred to Penn State after two years at Iowa State, where he was the 2010 NCAA runner-up at 125 pounds.
A phone message left for the athletic department by The Associated Press was not immediately returned.
Long doesn't have a listed phone number.
