Northampton County Executive John Stoffa has called a news conference for 11 a.m. Friday to announce the county's choice to manage the Gracedale nursing home.
Voters in May wouldn't let the county sell the home, so officials have been working to find efficiencies in the Upper Nazareth Township operation. An outside management firm was recommended and the county solicited firms.
Interested companies as of June were:
* Complete Healthcare Resources - Eastern, of Dresher, Pa.
* L W Consulting Inc., of Harrisburg
* Premier Healthcare Resources, of King of Prussia, Pa.
* QUnique, of Carroll Valley, Pa.
Complete Healthcare Resources is the firm the county hired to review Gracedale last fall and the company's report recommended the county sell or lease the nursing home.
