over 42 states across the US. Since June 2009 they have sold over 12,000
copies of their independently released CD "Don't Take It Personal". This
band of old friends (and Berklee School of Music students) have dedicated
the past two years of their lives to becoming one of the most recognized
Independent names in Pop/Rock. Singer and Songwriter Aaron Bonus
(Allentown), and Guitarist Jon Cornelius (Nazareth) have been playing music
together for years. And with Nathan Harvey delivering the percussion Jeff
Motekaitis the bass lines combined with the final touch of Matt Perreault's
rhythm, Westland was born. The band spent the past month on the Vans Warped
Tour.
Barony Band Slam
Each Thursday in July bands competed to make the finals with a fan vote
(donations to the Center) and judges' vote. The finals featured Plastic
Burn, Stereo Silent, Frank Porter's Problem Children, and Crystal Lotus.
When the votes were in and combined, Crystal Lotus won and the other three
all tied.
"It was a great night to be outside at the Borough Park listening to music,"
said Ross Nunamaker, Business Manager, the Nazareth Center for the Arts.
"The bands covered a range or rock from Blues to Classic to Pop to
Post-Modern Metal. Great music and a large turnout resulted in our raising
nearly $1,000 for the Center."
The Winner of the Contest receives four hours of studio time from Little
Creek Recording Studio in Nazareth, production assistance from Gar Francis
of Bongo Boy Records, an Olympus CD quality audio recorder, a 30 minute set
