Coaldale woman accused of stealing from Lower Nazareth Township employer

A 31-year-old Coaldale, Pa., woman faces charges after she allegedly bilked her Lower Nazareth Township employer out of about $5,900, court records say.

Jill Wald was arraigned this morning on charges of forgery, theft and receiving stolen property. She was released on unsecured bail.

According to court records:

Wald, a former employee of Dick Milham Ford, is accused of writing nine checks to herself from the company account. She wrote the checks between April 22 and July 12 and the amounts varied between $300 and $900.

The dealership owner began looking into the business's finances when the money went missing and found that Wald forged signatures on company checks to cash them.
