District 12 No. 3 seed Cardinal O'Hara ran off seven straight points to snap a fourth-quarter tie and pulled away for a 51-40 win over District 11 No. 2 Nazareth in a PIAA Class 4A first-round girls basketball game at Freedom High School on Friday.
Erika Livermore finished her Nazareth career with one final strong effort, scoring 19 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, blocking four shots and producing four steals. Caitlyn Gary added seven points and four steals for the Blue Eagles, who ended their season at 21-6.
Cardinal O'Hara received 19 points from Lia DiSciascio, who drilled six of her first seven 3-point attempts. Mackenezie Rule added 15 points points for the Lions.
