Lehigh University football team begins spring practice Friday

he Lehigh University football team opens its spring season Friday as the Mountain Hawks look to defend their Patriot League title.

Lehigh went 10-3 overall last season -- and an unbeaten 5-0 in the league -- en route to its first outright PL crown since 2001.

The Mountain Hawks advanced to the second round of the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs before losing to national runner-up Delaware on Dec. 4.

The first spring practice is scheduled for 4:45 p.m. Friday, and they run through April 21.

The annual Brown and White game will be 10 a.m. April 23 at Goodman Stadium.

Lehigh opens its regular season with a Sept. 3 trip to Monmouth University.
