Now the latest league rankings:

COLONIAL LEAGUE

1. Bangor (12-1, 8-0) ... Ranked No. 1 last week ... Emmaus should feel good about itself because the Green Hornets were the only team to slow the Slaters down.

2. Wilson (10-3, 7-1) .... Ranked No. 3 last week ... Warriors have won six straight since losing to Easton in Christmas tournament.

3. Notre Dame (8-4, 5-2) ,,. Ranked No. 5 last week .... Impressive win over Northern Lehigh.

4. Saucon Valley (6-4, 5-2) ... Ranked No. 2 last week ... This drop reflects a very disappointing performance against Bangor.

5, Salisbury (6-5, 4-4) ... Ranked No. 7 last week ... Nice nonleague win over Northampton.

6. Southern Lehigh (5-8, 4-4) ... Ranked 6 last week ... Spartans are doing what they need to do to make districts and that's beat the North Division teams.

7. Northern Lehigh (8-3, 4-3) .... Ranked No. 4 last week ... Still have yet to beat a team with a winning record, Palmerton comes closest at 5-5.

8. Palisades (5-7, 2-5) ... Ranked No. 9 last week ... Was all set to see Pirates play at Northern Lehigh on Wednesday night, but with Tuesday games moving over to Weds., I will be in Easton instead.

9. Palmerton (6-5, 3-3) ... Ranked No. 8 last week ... Despite the turmoil, Bombers still have a shot at districts if they can pull it together.

10. Catasauqua (3-9, 2-6) ... Ranked No. 10 last week .. Against good teams, Roughies defense hasn't been good enough.

11. Pen Argyl (2-10, 1-7) ... Ranked No. 11 last week ... Two-point loss to Pottsville Nativity extended Green Knights' losing streak to seven games.

12. Northwestern (1-12, 0-8) ... Ranked No. 12 last week ... Saw former Tigers star Josh Snyder at an Applebee's. Good to see Josh. Always have to check out the latest on his brother Brett, who is a proud. Keep Brett in your prayers.

LEHIGH VALLEY CONFERENCE

1. Liberty (11-1, 6-0) ... Ranked No. 1 last week ... Hurricanes followed up thrilling win over Allen with a solid win over a good Red Land team.

2. Allen (8-2, 3-1) ... Ranked No. 3 last week ... Today's postponement means Canaries will play three games in four nights - Easton, Nazareth and Dieruff.

3. Easton (11-1, 5-1) ... Ranked No. 4 last week .... Another year, another District 11 tournament berth for a Jim Hutnik-coached team.

4. Nazareth (10-1, 4-1) ... Ranked No. 2 last week .... Loss to Freedom knocks the Blue Eagles down a couple of notches. Weave is predicting 60-42 Blue Eagles over Becahi when that game is played.

5. Emmaus (9-3, 3-3) ... Ranked No. 5 last week ... Green Hornets may be haunted by that loss to Nazareth. Really hurt their chances at making a run at wild card.

6. Central Catholic (7-5, 3-3) ... Ranked No. 6 last week ... Shane McNeely making college decision(congrats to him and to Tim Cramsey for getting another Lehigh Valley product to New Hampshire) should help this team because the Vikings need to get everybody on the same page as soon as possible.

7. Whitehall (4-8, 1-4) ... Ranked No. 7 last week ... Zephyrs play three in a row against teams with losing records, so District 11 berth is still not out of the question.

8. Parkland (4-6, 2-3) ... Ranked No. 9 last week ... Quietly, the Trojans have started to play better.

9. Freedom (4-8, 2-3) ... Ranked No. 10 last week ... Upset win over Nazareth showed what the Patriots are capable of.

10. Dieruff (4-8, 1-3) ... Ranked No. 8 last week ... Huskies get Liberty and Allen on back-to-back nights. Not a nice schedule for a team in need of a big turnaround.

11. Northampton (2-8, 1-3) ... Ranked No. 12 last week ... K-Kids move out of the No. 12 slot by virtue of their win over Becahi.

12. Becahi (3-9, 0-6) ... Ranked No. 11 last week ... Golden Hawks may have blown last chance to make a run at districts with back-to-back losses to Stroudsburg and Northampton.

MOUNTAIN VALLEY CONFERENCE

1. Pocono Mt. West (10-2, 5-0) .... Haven't lost since Dec. 14.

2. Pocono Mt. East (8-4, 4-0) .... Host West Weds. in what could be a District 11 playoff preview.

3. Stroudsburg (5-7, 3-2) ... Have won five of their six.

4. Pleasant Valley (6-5, 3-2) ... Still expect Bears in league and district tourneys.

5. ES North (5-7, 1-3) ... Must snap out of a three-game skid.

6. ES South (2-9, 0-4) ... Cavs stuck in the 40s. Haven't scored 50 or more since win over ND-ES before Christmas.

7. Lehighton (0-11, 0-5) ... Still believe the Indians belong in the Colonial League. But Colonial doesn't seem to want to budget on any expansion.
