A few more postponements and NFL predictions

FROM KEITH GROLLER

One of the dangers of doing something like the Groller-Zambelli season during basketball season is that there's no guarantee the games will be played, at least in a timely fashion.

Yesterday, we told you that one game -- Liberty vs. Pocono Mountain West boys -- was moved back to Jan 30 as part of the Lehigh Valley Hoop Festival.

Now, the Northampton-Nazareth and the Holy Reedemer-CCHS girls games -- were also moved back. The K-Kids and Blue Eagles will play on Jan. 17, again as part of a girl-boy doubleheader. No new date was set for CCHS-Holy Redeemer. So, who knows how many games will actually be played in the current contest. I do know one game that was played in the contest last night was Emmaus' boys win over CCHS.

I am hoping to see another of the games that will count tonight as a I trek to Bangor to see Emmaus go for its second big win in as many nights against the unbeaten Slaters.

As for the NFL predictions, you know I can't resist, even as horrible as I was this season. The numbers were very bad, under .500 in every significant category, but it's a new season.

HOME TEAMS IN CAPS

New Orleans (-10) 31, SEATTLE 17 -- over the 46.

New York Jets (+2) 26, INDY COLTS 24 -- over the 44.5

Baltimore (-3) 24, KC CHIEFS 20 -- over the 40.5

PHILADELPHIA (-2.5) 20, Green Bay Packers 17 -- under the 46.5
