From Keith Groller

Don't quite know what to make of this, but here's the release we received earlier this week, and we'll pursue more later:

Allentown Central Catholic High School to compete in ‘virtual’ national football championship

HighSchoolSports.net and USA TODAY announce the 2nd annual ‘Massey Virtual National Championship’ for high school football.

Massey Virtual National Championship

McLean, VA – Gannett’s HighSchoolSports.net and USA TODAY will kick off the annual ‘Massey Virtual National Championship’ in January. USA TODAY editors will seed the teams in the championship bracket, where they will then face off in computer-simulated matchups, programmed by mathematician Ken Massey. Massey’s computer models were used to create the BCS rankings for college football in 1999.

The championship will include 64 high school football teams, consisting of 50 state championship teams and 14 at large teams chosen by USA TODAY. HighSchoolSports.net will post the brackets on Dec. 22nd with the first round being played Jan. 4th, and the winner will be announced at 12 pm ET on Jan. 11 at the following url:
