Five Questions: Nazareth's 'Sidewalk Queen' pushes borough council to act, not just talk

Some might call Becky Butz a community nuisance because she constantly barrages Nazareth Borough Council with concerns of her own and those of her neighbors. She's particularly diligent in seeking action on nuisance law violations such as properties overgrown with weeds.

Lately, she has argued that public money is being wasted on a new street sweeper that "on its maiden voyage" weaved down the middle of streets "like a drunken sailor," because the borough is too cheap to put signs up notifying residents of sweeping days so they can move their cars away from the curbs.
