The National Weather Service has issued a fire weather warning from 11 a.m. through 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Forecasters say gusty southwest winds along with warm, dry air will create favorable conditions for the spread of brush fires.
Parts of the Garden State saw record-breaking high temperatures on Tuesday.
