District 11 baseball chairman Mike Schneider announced Thursday that the district will hold its four baseball title games at Coca-Cola Park, home of the Triple-A Lehigh Valley IronPigs. Two finals will be played on Wednesday, June 2, with two other finals to be played Thursday, June 3.
Game times both days will be 4:45 p.m. and 7 p.m. Which games will be held on each of those dates will depend on when the district semifinals in all four classifications -- 4A, 3A, 2A and A -- are completed.
The revamped District 11 baseball tournament will open with first-round games Monday, May 24, at the site of higher-seeded teams. The quarterfinals will follow Tuesday, May 25, again at the site of higher-seeded teams. The semifinals are scheduled for Thursday, May 27, with doubleheaders to be played at sites that will be determined at a later date.
