Phillies' Lidge to pitch at Coca-Cola Park on Thursday

Allentown, PA
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs have confirmed that Phillies reliever Brad Lidge will pitch in a rehab assignment Thursday night for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs at Coca-Cola Park in east Allentown.

Game time is 7:05 p.m. vs. the Pawtucket Red Sox.

Field level and general admission tickets still remain for the gamet and can be purchased in-person at Coca-Cola Park, by calling (-10-841-PIGS or online at ironpigsbaseball.com.

Lidge, who had offseason knee and elbow surgeries, will be pitching for the first time this season outside of Florida, according to philly.com. He previously had pitched only in several minor league games for Clearwater, a Phillies' Single-A affiliate.

Lidge was the Phillies' closer in 2008 when he helped them to the World Series championship. He struggled last year on the mound and admitted in the offseason he had been battling injuries during the season.
