The All-Star season at Coca-Cola Park officially gets underway with Opening Night presented by OAA Orthopaedic Specialists on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. Other exciting highlights of the initial nine-game homestand include the return of the 2008 World Series Trophy and the first-ever appearance of the 2009 National League Trophy, along with fireworks, magnet schedule and dog bowl giveaways, $1 hot dogs and the first Saturday Night Happy Hour Concert Series at Coca-Cola Park.
Tickets for all upcoming IronPigs games can be purchased in-person at Coca-Cola Park, by calling (610) 841-PIGS or online at ironpigsbaseball.com. Prices for single-game tickets remain identical for the third consecutive season and start as low as $6 for General Admission, granting fans access to the Capital BlueCross Lawn seating area and standing room only areas. Field Level reserved seats are just $9.
The “Boys of Summer” return on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. when the IronPigs welcome the Rochester Red Wings to Coca-Cola Park. Highlights of Opening Night presented by OAA include a National Anthem performance by American Idol finalist and Lehigh Valley native Tyler Grady as well as a U.S. Army Black Knights Parachute Team routine and A-10 Warthog pre-game flyover of Coca-Cola Park.
The Main Gates open at 5:45 p.m. with special events in the AT&T Plaza and the unveiling of brand-new food and drink menu options.
All fans attending Thursday’s 7:05 p.m. game against Rochester will receive a 2010 IronPigs Magnet Schedule presented by Quest Diagnostics. Thursday is also Heroes Night allowing fans the opportunity to honor the local police, firefighters, EMS personnel, and military members who serve and protect the Lehigh Valley and the entire nation, in a pre-game on-field ceremony.
Friday’s 7:05 p.m. game against the Red Wings marks the return of post-game Friday Night Fireworks presented by Total Home Improvements at Coca-Cola Park. Be sure to stick around following every Friday home game for spectacular fireworks displays unrivaled in Eastern Pennsylvania. Also, Fly-Away-Friday presented by the Lehigh Valley International Airport will award a lucky fan a trip for two.
The AT&T Plaza gate will open early on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. for the lid lifter against the Syracuse Chiefs and the first, hour-long Saturday Night Happy Hour Concert Series of the season. Come hungry and thirsty and enjoy $1 hot dogs (from vendors only) and $3 Bud and Bud Light Drafts while listening to live music from R.e.M.I.X.T.D and watching batting practice from the AT&T Plaza.
Also on Saturday, a pair of noteworthy former Major League players, Tommy John and former Phillie Jim Eisenreich, will throw out ceremonial first pitches.
All Saturday home games at Coca-Cola Park in 2010 will have a brand-new 6:35 p.m. start time and Club Gates will open for Club Level patrons beginning at 5 p.m.
The weekend fun spirals ahead on Sunday at 1:35 p.m. with the series opener with Game Two against Syracuse and the first 2,000 children (and canines!) 17 and under will receive an IronPigs Dog Bowl courtesy of Lehigh Valley Animal Hospital. Fans can purchase tickets for their four-legged companions for just $1 with 100% of the proceeds benefiting The Center for Animal Health and Welfare.
Fans that are planning on bringing their canine must purchase a General Admission ticket and will only have access to the Capital BlueCross Lawn seating area. We ask that those with four paws also adhere to the following guidelines:
All potty breaks must be cleaned up by your owner.
Please mind your manners. Out of control dogs may be asked to leave Coca-Cola Park.
Cheering for the IronPigs is allowed, but barking should be kept at a minimum.
You must be kept on a leash by your owner.
Immediately following Sunday’s game, all children 12 and under can show off their speed with Kids Run the Bases presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network.
The IronPigs and Chiefs continue their four-game set on Monday at 7:05 p.m. with College Night featuring $1 hot dogs and in-game performances by local college dance teams.
The IronPigs-Chiefs four-game series concludes on Tuesday, April 20 at 7:05 p.m. with a special opportunity for all fans in attendance to have their picture taken with the 2008 World Series trophy and the 2009 Warren Giles trophy, given annually to the National League Champion.
To expedite the process and allow all fans the opportunity to have their picture taken, all trophy photos will be snapped by IronPigs team photographers (Mitman Photography) and be made available for a free download at the MyCapture photo portal on www.ironpigsbaseball.com starting April 21. The photo opportunity commences once the gates open through the middle of the seventh inning.
At every Tuesday home game fans can play TD Bank Ballpark Bingo for a chance to win a $25 Visa Check Card and a team autographed baseball. Moreover, patrons that are 55 and older (with a ticket to the game) can take advantage of Senior's Early Batting Practice Viewing presented by Phoebe Ministries and enter through the Club Gates to watch batting practice, beginning at 5 p.m.
The Pawtucket Red Sox visit the Valley for a short, two-game set to wrap up the longest homestand of the season on Wednesday, April 21 and Thursday, April 22 at 7:05 p.m. The IronPigs will celebrate Earth Awareness Night during the series finale and FeRROUS and FeFe will offer “Go Green” tips on how to protect our environment and our community.
With the exception of Saturday home games, the Main Gates open 75 minutes prior to game time while the Club Level gates open 90 minutes before scheduled first pitch time.
Fans are reminded that there are three entry points for parking and are encouraged to use the Dauphin Street entrance when traveling from downtown Allentown. In addition to the Dauphin Street entrance, entry to Coca-Cola Park can be gained off American Parkway and Union Boulevard. Preferred/Handicapped Parking access is available via American Parkway only.
The cost of parking for all IronPigs home games is $3 per vehicle.

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are dedicated to providing family-friendly entertainment and are the only Minor League team to offer bubbles to fans entering the AT&T Plaza and balloons for all children exiting Coca-Cola Park.
