Another day, another walk-off win for the Syracuse Chiefs at the expense of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.
Chris Duncan hit a one-out sacrifice fly to left field to score Pete Orr with the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Chiefs a 5-4 victory.
Lehigh Valley outhit Syracuse 10-5 but committed three errors and IronPigs pitchers also issued seven walks.
Chris Duffy knocked in three runs for Lehigh Valley with a single, double and triple. Wilson Valdez and Brian Bocock also collected a pair of hits for the visitors.
The IronPigs missed out on a huge opportunity to take the lead in the top of the ninth when they loaded the bases with one out. The Chiefs Andrew Kown was able to induce John Mayberry to pop out and Andy Tracy struck out swinging to end the threat.
Lehigh Valley will attempt to get off the schneid on Saturday afternoon when righthander Nate Bump takes the mound against Collin Balester. Bump was 7-1 with 2:38 ERA a year ago pitching for Toledo.
