Some area schools have begun selling advance tickets for this weekend's opening round of the PiAA boys and girls basketball tournaments. Advance tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students, and all tickets at the door are $6. There are no senior citizen prices.

Tickets for Northern Lehigh's opening round girls Class 3A state tournament game with Shikellamy at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Shamokin will be available Tuesday through Thursday in the high school main office from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Friday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Tickets for Pen Argyl's girls Class 2A game with Kennedy-Kenrick ckets for this Friday's Class 2A girls game at 6 p.m. Friday at Archbishop Carroll in Radnor will be on sale daily during the school day through Friday in the afternoonin the athletic office. They will able be available from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday evening in the high school gym lobby.
