I wish the sun would shine on way to Sunbury tonight

First of all, not a good start to my day.

Too hard to explain what happened, but let's just say an internal glitch caused the wrong Boys Top 10 to be used with my column in today's paper. Here is the Top 10 that was supposed to run:

1. Liberty 22-5 (also No. 1 last week)

2. Nazareth 20-6 (also No. 2 last week)

3. Whitehall 18-9 (also No. 3 last week)

4. Pocono Mt. East 18-8 (also No. 4 last week)

5. Pocono Mt. West 20-5 (also No. 5 last week)

6. Allen 17-8 (also No. 6 last week)

7. Notre Dame 22-4 (ranked No. 8 last week)

8. Marian Cath. 21-5 (ranked No. 10 last week)

9. Freedom 15-9 (ranked No. 7 last week)

10. CCHS 13-12 (ranked No. 9 last week)

Others: Wilson (15-9), Northern Lehigh (19-6), Northampton (13-10), ES North (15-9), Jim Thorpe (17-8), Panther Valley (14-10), Pius X (21-4), Catasauqua (12-11), Easton (12-11).

Now for the picks and let me say that a drive to Sunbury would be bad enough for yours truly under normal conditions, especially on a Friday, but now they're talking heavy rain and flood warnings? This could be fun.

Let's hope the games are as well:

4A BOYS

Liberty 64, Penncrest 58....Never take anyone from District One lightly, even a No. 7 seed. The Hurricanes better bring the intensity.

Whitehall 54, Frankford 51....Some guys who never got going last week against Liberty need to step it up if the Zephs want their season to continue.

Hempfield 62, Nazareth 57....Tough first-round draw for the Blue Eagles, but wow, what a season, and at least they get a trip to one of the state's most famous arenas.

3A BOYS

Central Catholic 59, Danville 54 ....No overtime tonight, guys, please. Central has beaten this team already, but better not be overconfident.

2A BOYS

Notre Dame 67, Lewisburg 60....Boyle's Bunch really playing well. This one should build some momentum going into much tougher test against Imhotep.

1A BOYS

Mansfield 48, Pius X 43...Nice to exchange e-mails with Mansfield principal Denise Drabick, who is a Catasauqua graduate.

Marian 43, Millville 40....Defense does it again for the Colts.
