WEEKLY BLOG UPDATE

New blog in town: Nazareth Center for the Arts. This past week I began working with the Nazareth Center for the Arts. I created a web site for them along with a blog, which are works in progress since the commission hasn’t even gone over them yet, but time was tight so the decision was made to get them going and change as needed. In the future, you can expect different committee members to contribute news and information about the activities taking place at the Center. The Center’s grand opening is 12/18, 12/19, and 12/20 and Gabe Toth will kick off 2010 with a performance on Wednesday, January 6 – more details to follow.

Also, before the traditional run-down, I want to alert everyone to a great song posted recently on Facebook by Jarrett Brown titled, “Nazo State of Mind” amongst everything Nazareth it covers he got NewsOverCoffee in along with my dad’s “Circle of Success” so I wanted to say thank you and great work. Listen to it here

Clonehenge has a post on a rope-henge and an earlier one from a recap week I missed I do want to mention. It is from Germany, more specifically Baden-Wurttemberg. Many of German settlers in the Nazareth area from the 1700s came from this part of Germany, travelled up the Rhine River to Rotterdam, then sailed to the Port of Philadelphia, and came here in search of farmland. Guess that means our next crop circle will be in the shape of a henge, or something like that.

House to Home is getting ready for the holidays (aren’t we all – so much fun!)

Steaming Cup was focused on the President’s visit to the Valley this week.

Lehigh Valley Ramblings had extensive coverage of Barak O’Bama’s visit and his consistently good coverage of County government – don’t think anyone else covers it better. He also mentioned he is now receiving press credentials for these events.

Maker Diaries announces that a master lego builder will be at the Moravian Book Shop on December 12, but the event is already sold-out. Hopefully some works will be left on display for others to see.

Tatamy Happenings notes that the tree lighting is today with festivities beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Weird Nazareth has a photo round-up of what they found on the ground in Nazareth this year. Interesting.

Have a great week! Should be lots of activity with the holidays fast approaching!
