A Note indicating that K-3 early dismissal has been changed from 11:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
I checked the school calendar and visited the sites of each of the levels and found that Intermediate School changed to 12:00. Saw that MS was indicated as 11:40, but am thinking this will change if IS is at noon, doesn’t seem to be enough time in-between for bus runs.
The long and short of it is – why bother? Students at k-3 will now have less than two and one half hours in school on early dismissal days for the rest of the year. MS/HS, presumably with the longest half day, will be in school for maybe four hours.
For this amount of time, it would be more cost effective and environmentally friendly to close the schools on those days.
