The Happy Hour on ESPN Radio of the Lehigh Valley (AM 1230, 1320) has an interesting contest going, trying to find out the area's best high school sports venue.
A few of my favorites made the cut.
The five finalists are:
BASD Stadium (Liberty, Freedom & Becahi Football)
Bulldog Stadium (Northern Lehigh Football)
Cottingham Stadium (Easton Football)
Limeport Stadium (Southern Lehigh & CCHS Baseball)
Rockne Hall (Central Catholic Basketball)
The finalists were based on nominations we received from listeners.
Personally, it depends on the time of year, of course. If you're talking summer, there's no other venue like Limeport Stadium. If it's the winter, Rockne Hall is like visiting a Hall of Fame. And in the fall, the ultimate shrine is Cottingham Stadium, although from a media perspective, the most comfortable place by far is Bethlehem Area School District Stadium.

Voting ends at midnight Sunday.
