http://fangsbites.com/2014/03/cbsturner-garners-its-ncaa-tournament-highest-viewership-in-21-years/

Executives at the CBS and Turner Sports headquarters in New York and Atlanta must be doing backflips and handstands over the numbers for the NCAA Tournament.
Through Sunday, the Tournament has averaged 9.8 million viewers. That’s the highest viewership since 1993. The average rating is 6.2 with a 13 share and that’s tied with last year’s rating.

Friends with Better Lives - Mondays at 8:30PM ET/PT on CBS
Premieres Monday, March 31, 2014 at 9:00PM ET/PT

by Skees

As we come of age, we all think that we're the ones suffering, and it's our friends who have the better lives. So, naturally, that would be the premise of the latest sitcom on CBS, Friends with Better Lives. The series follows a married couple (Andi and Bobby), a divorced man (Will), a soon-to-be-engaged couple (Kate and Lowell), and the eternally obnoxious one who finds the flaws in everybody (Jules). So who really has the better life? That's what this CBS series tries to answer, in sitcom form.

Cast Details:
James Van Der Beek as Will Stokes
Brooklyn Decker as Jules Talley
Zoe Lister-Jones as Kate McLean
Rick Donald as Lowell Peddit

CBS/Turner Announce Tip Times for 2014 NCAA Final Four Games

http://fangsbites.com/2014/03/cbsturner-announce-tip-times-for-2014-ncaa-final-four-games/

Announced earlier tonight, TBS will air the 2014 NCAA Men’s Final Four live from Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX. So weird to hear “North Texas” over the last two weeks. Do the residents of Arlington, TX like hearing their city referred to as the generic North Texas? Just a thought.
Anyway, TBS will air UConn-Florida in the early slot at 6:09 p.m. with Kentucky-Wisconsin in the nightcap at approximately 8:49 p.m.

Had a blast helping the play this year!

It was Fantastic!

Can't wait to watch them at FREEDYS AWARDS!!!!!

I Would like to say a big THANK You to NAHS Theatre Group for adding me to their family this year! Today puts a wrap on my 1st year with them!! Special thanks to Megan OBrien and especially the lady who made it all possible for me, Danielle Baclawski Scheller who puts tiredless hours into her job and is really rewarding!! The work to put this together started with Tryouts in November right after the Children Play!! The kids work from January to today, almost every single day without a day off. (Even Sundays) either practicing or making things for the play. Holding a play is not CHEAP. It coasts thousands and thousands of dollars. To even get the rights to hold something like this costs a lot of money!!! The behind the scenes work is totally Amazing. Thanks Guys and Girls for adding me to this excitement!! I Watched the show all 6 times and on Sunday stayed to the end!!!!! This production of Beauty and the Beast was awesome and Totally Fantastic!! Great job to everybody Involved!!!!!!! We will see some of this again in May on Channel 69 at the Freedys Awards!!!!!! On that day, we can all say we seen that in person!!!!! Below I Am including everybody's names that put this Beauty and the Beast Together! I Hope I am involved next year again!!! This was a incredible Experience during the Children Play and the REAL Show here in SPRING!! Thanks for all the fun times Guys and Girls!!!

This Brave New World: Turner Sports Airs the NCAA Final Four with New Twists

http://fangsbites.com/2014/03/this-brave-new-world-turner-sports-airs-the-ncaa-final-four-with-new-twists/

We’re entering a brave new world beginning this year. You have gotten used to having TBS, TNT and truTV join CBS in televising the NCAA Tournament over the last four seasons. Up until this year, CBS had been airing the Final Four and National Championship Game without interruption since 1982. That changes this year as TBS begins airing the Final Four.

Sacred Heart wins on Sunday to finish third at CYO state tournament

http://blogs.mcall.com/groller/

FROM KEITH GROLLER

Sacred Heart Regional went out as winners on Sunday.
The Tigers, coached by Joe Jarjous, bounced back from Saturday's tough loss with a 57-48 win over St. Benedict's of Altoona/Johnstown Diocese in the third-place game at the CYO state tournament at Chestnut Hill College.
Justin Marrero scored 19 points to lead the team to its 18th win of the season in 20 games.

Central Catholic graduate Noah Robb ready to become a leader on defense at Lehigh

http://blogs.mcall.com/groller/

FROM KEITH GROLLER

While Whitehall product Nick Shafnisky gets used to a new offensive coordinator this spring at Lehigh, Central Catholic graduate Noah Robb is also getting used to a new coordinator on defense.
Of course, the new coordinator is a familiar face to Lehigh Valley football people. It's former CCHS and Emmaus head coach Joe Bottiglieri.Mc-lehigh-football-brown-white-08
The good news for Robb (38 on left) is that he doesn't have to get used to another new position at Lehigh after some shuffling around through his first two years on South Mountain. It seems like he will remain a fixture at inside linebacker where he played all 11 games last season and made 55 tackles, 32 unassisted. He also had five tackles for losses and forced a fumble.
"We've had changes with the coaching staff, but I don't think it's affecting us too much," Robb said after Friday night's practice. "The defense is a little different from last year, but the concepts are the same. We're still getting coached up. We're picking things up fast and running around and making plays."
Robb believes the defense will be better in 2014 than it was last year.
"We've got a lot of guys coming back and we're a very passionate group," he said. "That makes us play harder for each other. We have to replace our whole secondary, but we have inside guys back and we're looking pretty good so far."
Robb said that the disappointment of the 50-28 loss to Lafayette last Nov. 23, which prevented Lehigh from winning the Patriot League title and advancing to the FCS playoffs, lingers and still stings.
"Two years in a row losing in the league title game has left a bitter taste in our mouths," Robb said. "We said that immediately as we walked off that field that we were going to do everything possible to avoid having that feeling again. We've been working hard this whole offeseason. When that opportunity comes again, we're just going to have to execute."
Robb said he hopes to be assert himself as one of the leaders of the defense during the spring.
"I'm trying to help the younger kids learn the defense as I am learning it myself," he said. "I hope I can step up and fill some of the shoes that we lost from last year like Nigel Muhammad.
"It looks like I will be at the same position, although this year I will be more outside the box than before. I never really played inside the box before last year. I just went with it. I am trying to learn everything I can and it's working out pretty well so far."
As for Bottigilieri, Robb said: "He's a great guy. He's always cracking jokes. But at the same time, he's pushing us very hard. He knows what he's doing. I do whatever he tells me and it seems like it works out well."
Besides Bottliglieri, there are two new other new defensive coaches.
"It happens and you hate to see the people that you worked with go," Robb said. "But at the same time, you try to make things work out the best they can."

Allen's Isaiah Palmer is co-MVP after winning all-star game in Harrisburg

Our local connection did well in an all-star game on Friday night at Harrisburg Christian.
The Pennsylvania team coached by Allen's Doug Snyder and featuring Canaries' senior Isaiah Palmer and Saucon Valley product Keith Mosher won their game in overtime. It was part of a big weekend of games at Harrisburg Christian sponsored by pahoops.org.
Palmer, who had 14 points, sealed the game with a dunk off an alley-oop pass. He was named a co-MVP, while Mosher made three 3-pointers in scoring 11 points.
Mike Gaffney of pahoops.org hopes to get more local kids involved in the game next year.
