Philly CBS Stations to Raise Money for Philippines

CBS LOCAL MEDIA STATIONS JOIN FORCES
WITH AMERICAN RED CROSS
FOR ‘OPERATION BROTHERLY LOVE: TYPHOON RELIEF;’
STATIONS TO SOLICIT DONATIONS
THROUGHOUT BROADCAST DAY ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 14
 Philadelphia, November 13, 2013 – The CBS Local Media stations in Philadelphia – CBS 3, The CW Philly, KYW Newsradio 1060, 98.1 WOGL, SportsRadio 94WIP, CBS Sports Radio 610, Talk Radio 1210 WPHT along with CBSPhilly.com and CBS Outdoor – are teaming up once again under the “Operation Brotherly Love” banner to use their combined voices for a good cause – to raise funds for the American Red Cross relief effort in the wake of Typhoon Haiyan and its massive destruction in the Philippines and Vietnam.
Throughout this Thursday, November 14, all of the stations, CBSPhilly.com and several CBS Outdoor digital boards will be encouraging viewers and listeners to support the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund by donating on-line athttp://www.CBSPhilly.com/relief or calling  1-800-GIVE-122 (1-800-448-3122).
Eyewitness News Anchors Chris May, Jessica Dean, Kathy Orr, Ukee Washington Erika von Tiehl and Katie Fehlinger will lead the effort on television. CBS RADIO personalities will also support the effort as well throughout the broadcast day.
CBS 3 and its sister stations created Operation Brotherly Love in 2001 to help mobilize the Delaware Valley’s response to the 9/11 disaster. Under that same banner, the stations have raised millions of dollars for various causes including funds for Katrina and Haitian Earthquake victims and most recently for tornado victims in Oklahoma.
