FROM MORNING CALL

A berth in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision playoffs might be icing on the cake for the Lafayette football team, but coach Frank Tavani indicated on Sunday that it's a sweetness he'd very much like to savor.
"We are not sitting here satisfied with just the Patriot League championship and-or beating Lehigh," Tavani said after learning that the Leopards would meet New Hampshire at noon Saturday in Durham, N.H., in the first round.
"We are going to prepare the same way we have been preparing. We won't change a thing. We fully intend on going up to New Hampshire and winning."
The football team and some other friends of the program gathered in the Kirby Sports Center to watch the FCS selection show on ESPNU, which was shown on the large screens on the basketball scoreboard.
