FROM MORNING CALL

Parkland coach Jim Morgans wasn't pleased with the way his team ran the ball in the first half Friday night.
When he heard the final tally for senior running back Kareem Williams after the game, Morgans perked up.
Williams ran 25 times for 157 yards over the final two quarters as third-seeded Parkland churned through the defense of No. 2 Whitehall. He finished with 41 carries for 227 yards and two touchdowns, including a 34-yard burst with 3:06 to play to clinch a 27-10 win in a District 11 Class 4A football semifinal.

Parkland (11-1 overall) will host fifth-seeded Easton, a 31-0 winner over No. 1 seed East Stroudsburg South, in next Friday's District 11 4A title game. Easton (10-2) handed Parkland its lone loss back in Week 2, dominating the Trojans 24-0 at Cottingham Stadium.
