FROM MORNING CALL

It took North Carolina State 17 innings Sunday to win its NCAASuper Regional contest against Rice.
Karl Keglovits has spent the past two months keeping his right arm ready for games like that one, though he hasn't received the baseball in a big spot yet.
The inactivity hasn't stopped Keglovits, a Nazareth graduate, from enjoying N.C. State's record run. The freshman pitcher has had the chance to travel with the Wolfpack throughout the postseason and is in Omaha this week as they prepare for the start of the College World Series.
Another local pitcher, Virginia freshman and Central Catholic graduate David Rosenberger, came close to joining Keglovits in Omaha. The Cavaliers also made it to the Super Regionals but were eliminated by Mississippi State on Monday.
