The proposal for the Colonial Regional Police to oversee Nazareth police operations is now dead in the water.
Nazareth Mayor Carl Strye Jr. said Thursday morning that borough officials were informed "a couple of days ago" that Lower Nazareth Township would not sign off on letting Colonial Regional Police serve as Nazareth's police force.
