"Addams Family" musical wacky and fun

FROM MORNING CALL

"The Addams Family" at the State Theatre was everything you could expect from a musical inspired by a cartoon and a 1960's sitcom. It was wacky and silly with some fun songs and great voices.
And from the moment the live orchestra started playing the finger-snapping theme and the crowd commenced clapping along, you knew the crowd was along for the wacky ride.
Fans of the TV show were not disappointed as there were lots of visual references from the hulking mono-syllabic Lurch the butler; Uncle Fester's iconic lighting of a light bulb in his mouth and Morticia chopping off the heads of flowers.
