City residents should place items at the curb on their recycling night. Trees should not be placed in plastic bags and all decorations and stands should be removed. Electronics recycling will be offered to city residents 1 to 3 p.m. Saturdays, Jan. 19 and Feb. 2, at the Allentown Yard Waste Site, Fish Hatchery Road and Oxford Drive. HOLY TRINITY MEMORIAL LUTHERAN CHURCH'S women's group, The Morning Glories, is accepting orders for its calico ham and bean soup sale until Friday, Jan. 11. The cost is $6 per quart. Elm St., Allentown, will hold a t'ai chi for beginners class 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14. The class teaches the slow gentle movement that emphasizes breathing and natural range of motion.
