http://sportsmediajournal.com/ Thomas Joins NBA TV as Analyst- NBA TV announced today that it has hired Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas as a studio analyst. Thomas will debut this Friday on the network’s AutoTrader.com Pre-Game Show at 7:00 p.m. ET. He will make several appearances each month on the network and will also be a regular contributor to NBA.com. NFL Turning Point Returns Tonight to NBC Sports Network- The next edition of NFL Turning Point on the NBC Sports Network will air tonight at 10:00p.m. ET. Featured this week will be a look back at the defining playes of the 49ers/Patriots and Steelers/Cowboys games. The program will also look at Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt. Dan Patrick hosts along with analysis from Rodney Harrison and Tony Dungy. Mohr to Take Over Rome’s Slot on Fox Sports Radio- Fox Sports Radio announced today that comedian Jay Mohr has been hired to serve as midday host for the network. Mohr takes the slot previously held by Jim Rome before his move to CBS Sports earlier this year. Jay Mohr Sports will debut January 2nd from 12:00p.m. to 3:00p.m. ET. ESPN/Cowboys Classic Extend Broadcast Deal through 2024- ESPN today announced that it has reached a deal with the Dallas Cowboys to continue to bring an early season college football match-up to Cowboys stadium through 2024. The extension to continue the Cowboys Classic will begin with the 2015 season. WatchESPN Now Available to Optimum TV Customers- ESPN announced today it has reached an agreement with Cablevision to allow Optimum TV customers to enjoy live access to ESPN networks on computers at WatchESPN.com, on mobile devices via the WatchESPN app or through ESPN on Xbox LIVE to Gold members. The service is available now for Optimum TV subscribers. NBC Announces Addition to Formula One Broadcast Team- NBC Sports announced today that it has hired Will Buxton to serve as reporter for its Formula One coverage. Buxton joins Leigh Diffey, David Hobbs and Steve Matchett as the on-air talent for the races which will air on the network beginning next year.
