Clairton earns 63rd straight Win, 4th Straight State Title

Clairton was looking to continue their amazing win streak on Friday afternoon in Hershey. They had one more road block to overcome – the District 2 Class A champions, the Dunmore Bucks.
The Bears (16-0) outplayed the Bucks in all facets of the game. Dunmore couldn’t get anything started offensively. In fact, Clairton had three times as many first downs (23-6), on their way to winning their fourth consecutive Class A State Title, 20-0.
Highly recruited Clairton running back Tyler Boyd scored on his team’s opening possession. A 9 play drive that consumed more than three minutes of the game. Boyd scampered 5 yards to the endzone for a Bears 6-0 lead.
Boyd rushed for 117 yards on 20 carries, and caught 3 balls for 50 yards.
The WPIAL Class A champions put another touchdown on the board just before halftime. Terrish Webb caught a 21 yard pass from senior quarterback Armani Ford, to extend the Bears lead 14-0.
Clairton had total control of the game in the statistical department as well. The Bears had 432 total yards of offense in the game, on 66 plays. The Bucks (14-2) had 115 on 37 plays.
Quarterback Armani Ford ran for the final score of the game, on a 29 yard run, with less than five minutes to play the game, put the game out of reach, at 20-0.
Ford carried the ball 45 yards on 9 carries. He also completed 10 out of 18 passes for 150 yards. Wide receiver Terrish Webb had a busy game hauling in 7 catches for 100 yards.
The Bears defense was stout, holding running back’s Austin Seamon and Daiqwon Buckley to a total of 89 yards.
Bucks junior quarterback Brandon Kujawski completed 2 passes on 8 attempts for 36 yards, with one interception.
